Development, Internal Auditing, and Assessment

We are skilled at policy, procedure, and template development to ensure a consistent, neutral, and equitable response to reports of discrimination, harassment, and violence that are compliant with regulations and guidance. This may include the creation of a consistent method of documentation and record-keeping. Additionally, we are trained at assessing the current office/entity structures, protocols, and policies to make recommendations for the future as well as check for compliance gaps.

Interim Assistance

During periods of high volume or transition, entities may desire additional assistance on campus to handle the needs of the institution. We are able to provide interim assistance with training and prevention efforts, investigations of reported misconduct, or act as an on-site Title IX Coordinator or Deputy Coordinator to ensure there are no gaps in coverage or compliance.

Preparation for an External Audit or Litigation

When notice is provided by an external agency that they will be conducting and audit of the current practices, this may seem incredibly daunting especially on top of your daily workload. We are able to assist in proactively preparing for an audit as well as responding to the requirements of the audit. We have worked with the Office for Civil Rights, the Clery Compliance Division of Federal Student Aid, University accreditors, an athletic conference, the NCAA, local and state law enforcement agencies, and University counsel managing litigation matters. Let us assist in making these difficult situations as smooth as possible.

Workshops and Trainings

Provide engaging, interactive workshops and training that does not only satisfy compliance obligations with applicable laws, guidance, and policies but also provides examples and scenarios for real-world application. Topics may be directed toward a variety of areas such as prevention strategies; training community on policies and procedures; training staff members who investigate matters; training leadership on oversight collaboration across the institution; and training employees or students on topics of discrimination, harassment, intimate partner violence, mandatory reporting of child abuse, and sexual violence.
